Ahhhh, it's time to enjoy the holiday season.
After months of preparation (sewing, creating, and packaging), the arts and craft show season has wound to an end. Last night was my last event with my annual open house. Every year I clean up my house, bake some homemade cookies and set up my shop in my home. I invite friends and my regular customers in to my home so they can pick out gifts for their loved ones. It's one of my favorite things to do each year. I enjoy spending time with each and everyone while offering a more personal shopping experience . Thank you to all who stopped by. Merry Christmas !

With just a week to go it's not to late to pick up something handmade by Mary Moon. There are several shops around town who carry my work. I plan to restock each location this week for your final shopping needs before the big day.

What The Rock ?! in the Short North carry my little zippy bags,
Wholly Craft in Clintonville offers a wide selection of purses zippies and wristlets
A Gal Named Cinda Lou in Westerville has pencil bags made with vintage fabric,
and pop up shops Celebrate Local and Global Gallery at Easton Town Center have wristlets and purses.

Open Door Studios in Granview has just started carrying my products as well.

If your in the Yellow Springs area you can find wristlets, bags and skirts at Urban Handmade.

Then of course there is my Etsy shop, which is open all year round. Stop in often to see my latest creations.

My friends the Crafty Cotillion, Craftin' Outlaws and Wholly Craft are hosting an exciting event here in Columbus, Ohio. They have reached out to craft fair organizers, store owners, bloggers, and others in the craft community to hold the first ever Midwest Craft Caucus.
The event has a little bit of everything and a lot to offer.
There will be a plethora of panels, presentations and workshops for anyone in the business.
Then for the fans of handmade, join us at Wild Goose Creative for the Showcase Showdown where they will be having a celebration featuring vendors, games (with prizes), swag bags, and the popular Craft Corner Deathmatch(as featured at Craftin' Outlaws).

Throw in the Columbus Arts Festival, the Short Norths Gallery Hop and the North Markets Artisan Sunday and you will have the best weekend of the year to shop for unique one-of-a-kind treasures.

Hope to see ya there :o)

More Stuffies

-cute fabrics
-ooak plushie
-70's style pattern
-vintage design with a NEW Mary Moon twist

♥♥♥ Back when I was a small child my grandma used to spoil me with her handmade creations. She made me cards, afghans, clothing's and lots of other special gifts.I remember her making a set of these cute stuffed animals that I just cherished. She lived two hours away so each time I would visit she would add a new stuffie to my collection.I had a bunny, cat, dog, camel, lion and a horse.
I was at the thrift store one day and found the same set of patterns my grandma had.Memories overwhelmed me.All the road trips to her house, spending weeks during summer break with her, holidays at grandmas, playing in her living room.
I HAD TO HAVE THEM ! ! !
I give my grandma a lot of credit for helping me become the person I have am today. She not only gave me her love and her time, she inspired me and encouraged me.
Once again she has influenced me and my artwork.
I have recreated my grandmas vintage plush designs and put a Mary Moon twist to them.
I Hope you enjoy them as I really really enjoyed making them ♥♥♥
I think she would be proud :o)

You can find my stuffies in my Etsy shop

*** Annual Open House tomorrow ***

And I am not getting enough done.I NEED to clean, set up my display, cook and bake cookies.Blahhhh,I know its worth the effort but it seems like a lot of work.
I already disassembled my sewing area and took it down to my room, set up the christmas tree(I do need to put up some more festive decorations),and did some surface cleaning.
I can't wait to see who all shows up.Its always a surprise !!!
I sent out a bunch of my new postcards for my invitations.I invite some of the artist and customers that I have met at shows, people I see on a regular basis, long time friends and a few other people I have had contact with but never met in person.I hope I remembered everyone ??
It's nice to invite them into my home/studio and visit with them during this time of year.I have a few of my newest designs made up.I'm sure they will be a hit.
Wish Me Luck !!!!!
